First is of course Petrol Check you have enough petrol before you make a trip, if you are traveling a long distance especially in the winter make sure you have plenty extra too just incase Two years ago I was making a trip from Paisley to north of Inverness, this is a trip that usually takes about 3 hours, 2 hours into the trip the snow started and the road was at a crawl. Nowhere to stop just nose to tail cars.
